What it demonstrates about governed AI
This site's risk library names "missing AI impact assessment process" as a specific, addressable risk with a specific control. This repo is that control, working — evidence that a pre-deployment impact assessment can be a structured, repeatable instrument rather than a one-off document.
What it is
A Vue application built on the SurveyJS survey engine: an organisation answers a structured question set about an automated decision system, each answer carries a weight, and the tool calculates an overall impact tier from the combined score. Built for Government of Canada use but open for any organisation or jurisdiction to adapt.
Governance notes
The controls built into the work, and the risks they answer, linked back to the Library.
- Weighted, not just narrative, scoring Library entry
- Impact factors and mitigations combine into a quantified tier, giving an assessment a comparable output rather than a free-text judgement call that varies assessor to assessor.
- Anchored to a real regulatory instrument Library entry
- Built directly against Canada's Directive on Automated Decision-Making, not a generic self-assessment questionnaire — the same framework-cited discipline this site applies to the EU AI Act and ISO/IEC 42001.
